About You


We are looking for a Manual/Automation QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be our quality champion; breaking stuff is one of your strongest qualities, understanding how a system works and figuring out ways users would use our apps, as well as figuring out scenarios no other engineers can imagine. You will be testing new features manually, and then implementing automated test procedures on existing and new frameworks. 


You are skillful talking to Databases and APIs. As a Manual/Automation QA Engineer, you will be interacting with the Developers and Project Managers to identify and test key features of software programs. You will be investigating the causes of non-conforming software programs. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities.


*This is a remote position anywhere in Mexico and LATAM.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be responsible for quality across all components of the Turn Platform.

  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software quality standards and procedures to maintain high levels of software quality and product reliability.

  • Develop test plans, scripts, and other documentation for various functional and non-functional testing activities.

  • Execute manual, automated, and/or scenario-based testing on multiple platforms.

  • Record testing defects and monitors defect resolution.

  •  Work closely with the development team to diagnose issues, resolve defects, and ensure that product features meet acceptance criteria per the user stories.

  • Handle, document and help resolve issues escalated from the production environment.

  •  Recommend best-in-class testing solutions across the environment.

  •  Share, mentor and foster an environment where you and others can grow and share technical knowledge.


What You’ll Need: 

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience with knowledge of established QA practices using SCRUM Agile methodology.

  • SQL experience (Postgresql, MySQL or SQLite) (3+ years experience).

  • Python 3 + Selenium (3+ years experience).

  • Continuous Integration experience (1+ years experience).

  • Experience with Git and Github in a collaborative environment (3+ years experience).

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects at any given time.

  • Ability to collaborate, act as a team player, communicate across various layers of the organization, and work in cross-functional distributed teams.

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary.
